Some Super tidbits

Okay, yes, I'm not at a Super Bowl party, but I am watching. (Yes, the Hank A-B commercial was cute...I miss watching those at 3630).

Here are a few tidbits I've run into on the 'net this Super Sunday.

Companies must listen to the Web 2.0 world (from www.computerworld.com)
Bloggers are proving the blog can be mightier than the sword.

Sex. lies and MRI (from www.computerworld.com)
MRI for lie detectors? Sounds a little expensive. They left out whether you'd need contrast or not.

Medical Mnemomics
A cool site for remembering medical terms.

No, I'm not dead

...just dead tired sometimes. Working as a nurse is not for sissies and they do physicals for a reason. Rehab nursing, in particular, is a physical endeavor. I'm not slinging patients from here to there...all the time, but I have noticed that I am tired when I get home at night more often than I have been before.

Thankfully, I wear good shoes--Danskos. You can check out a pair at ClogCentral. Some people say they're heavy, but they keep my legs from getting tired!

I've been lucky enough to see the St. Boniface crowd at IC in the last couple of weeks. Most everyone is doing well. A couple of people are ill, so keep them in your prayers. I baked zucchini bread and the one without nuts disappeared. (We put the walnut version in the freezer for this week.)

Well, here are a couple of interesting tidbits I found in some recent surfing. Enjoy your week!

Growing front yard food (from cnn.com)
If I could do it, I would. Beats cutting grass all the time!

Kids take on the lunch lady (from cnn.com)
No, no violence here. Just the power of the pen is mightier than the pea.

The new face of fitness (cnn.com)
Think you're old? Don't until you check this out! Maybe they really need to go here.
